Job Objective:

To manage and prepare dirt and turf tracks at King Abdulaziz Racecourse, Riyadh, and the dirt track at Taif Racecourse to the highest standards, both for training, the racing seasons, and the World-renowned Saudi Cup races, as well as all associated training tracks and facilities related to horse movements.


Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

·       Lead the preparation of the Riyadh dirt track to deliver a high-quality racing surface that meets the satisfaction of racing stakeholders, including annual surface refurbishment. This also includes the preparation of training tracks, horse walks, and marshalling areas.  

·       Experience in preparing dirt track surfaces to international or graded race standards.  

·       Organize labor to prepare the surface for racing and training throughout the five-month season and for year-round training.

·       Procure and execute the annual major refurbishment and carry out any other periodic major maintenance or remedial work as required.  

·       Contribute to the leadership of Raceday operational procedures and organize the track labor team as required.  

·       Lead the preparation of the Riyadh turf track to deliver a high-quality racing surface that meets the satisfaction of all stakeholders.  

·       Contribute to the management and preparation of the turf track in advance of and during the racing season.  

·       Contribute to the leadership of Raceday operational procedures and organize the track labor team as required.  

·       Lead the preparation of the Taif dirt surface to deliver high-quality racing and training surfaces that meet the satisfaction of racing stakeholders, including annual dirt track refurbishment.  

·       Drive organizational excellence, ensuring employees, vendors, and stakeholders strive to achieve the best results, operating at an optimal level of performance through high-quality standards and globally recognized best practices.  

·       Demonstrate a track record in the implementation and training of best practices in the racecourse and horse racing sectors.

·      Take full responsibility for health and safety for track workers, employees, and all aspects related to racecourses.


Job Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years international experience in a senior position in the same field of expertise.
